Discounts Action Clutch 15% Off: STATIC ...7 posts · Joined 2006. #12 · Jul 17, 2007. you can adjust the timing on anything that has a ditributor. if it is coil packs then you can't just losen the bolt on the distrubutor after the truck is at operating temp then adjust the timing to the probper position or where you want it. i run mine 4degrees before tdc.Remove the timing cover. The keyways for the crank and cam sprockets should be at the 12 o'clock position. Now look at the lower end of the timing chain for the chain mating mark which should be at the crankshaft sprocket gear mark; 5 o'clock position. The top end of the timing chain mating (silver) mark should be at the sprocket gear mark; ….
