You don't need to have the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSID named differently. Your devices will connect to the one offering the best performance. If it's connecting to the 2.4 band you're probably too far away from the router/AP or have other 5GHz signals interfering. 5GHz can't penetrate walls as well as 2.4 and tends to have greater signal overlap..
